DIANE A. GIORDANO, 49, of Hazlet died Sept. 22 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived there until moving to Hazlet in 1986. She was a legal secretary at Lynch-Martin, Shrewsbury, the past four years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She is survived by three sons, Michael E. Giordano, Richard T. Giordano, and Joseph D. Giordano, all Hazlet; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Debbie Puccio of Hazlet; her mother, Edith Caruso Puccio of Hazlet; her father, Joseph Puccio of Hazlet; and her niece and nephew. A funeral gathering will be Sept. 25 at 8:30 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.
JEAN A. MARTZ STOCKDALE, 51, of Deal died Sept. 10 at home. Born in Helfenstein, Pa., she lived in Eatontown, Tinton Falls and Neptune prior to moving to Deal recently. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald H. and Edna Weikel Martz. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Thomas P. Stockdale of Deal; three sons, Jason M. Stockdale of Philadelphia, Pa., Sean C. Stockdale of Aberdeen, and Kyle M. Stockdale of Glassboro; her daughter, Courtney M. Stockdale of Deal; three brothers, Donald H. Martz, David H. Martz, and Kevin Martz; and two sisters, Donna Mae Younghanz, and Desiree Markman. Interment was at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
KATHERINE E. KULCSAR, 45, of Middletown died Sept. 13 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, from complications from cancer. She was born in South Amboy. She was a member of Calvary Chapel Four Winds, Red Bank, and former member of Calvary Chapel, Wichita, Kan. Her activities included hiking, skiing, horseback riding, bicycling, and time with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Steven Kulcsar and Dorothea Amend Kulcsar Kreismer. She is survived by her son, Peter R. Jakiemchek; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael J. and Adrienne Kulcsar, and David S. and Annelie Kulcsar; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Karen A. Chirichello, Susan and Richard Gozick, and Laura T. and Roger Hill; her cousin and husband, with whom she resided, Patricia and Andrew Walsh; her great aunt, Dorothy Makowka; her godfather and his wife; and several nieces and nephews. AGNES ANNARELLA, 96, of the Locust section of Middletown, died Sept. 15 at home. Born in Latrobe, Pa., she resided in Little Silver prior to moving to Locust in 1962. She was the retired founder of Shore Point Distributing Co., Freehold, which she founded in 1933. She was a member of St. Anthony Of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, as well as its St. Ann’s Society. She was predeceased by her husband, James Annarella Sr. She is survived by two sons, R. James Annarella of Red Bank, and Vincent J. Annarella of Locust; her brother and sister; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. THOMAS H. RYAN III, 68, of the Port Monmouth section of Middletown died Sept. 17 at home. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Middletown most of his life. He was a senior pension trust consultant at New York Life Insurance Company, New York City, for 27 years, retiring in 1987. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth, and the Jersey Shore Navy League. He was predeceased by his daughter, Denise Ryan, in 1963. He is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Tom and Diana Ryan Jr. of Hazlet, Chris and Melissa Ryan of the Lincroft section of Middletown, Richard Ryan of Howell, and William and Sharon Ryan of Howell; four sisters, Frances Gula of South Plainfield, Helen Gutt of Absecon, Kathleen Reitzma of Howell, and Patricia Whester of Whiting; his companion, Carolyn Copeland of Port Monmouth; and six grandchildren. RAYMOND SHEA SR., 75, of Hazlet died Sept. 17 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in South Amboy, he resided in Keyport before moving to Hazlet one year ago. He was an electrician at IFF Union Beach, for several years, retiring in 1990. Prior to that, he worked for Entron, Morganville. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Keyport. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen A. Shea in 2000. He is survived by three sons, Ronald Shea of Montague, Raymond Shea Jr. of Maine, and Robert Shea of Morganville; two daughters, Linda Thomas of Highlands, and Deborah D’Elia of Milford; his brother, James Shea of Madison, Conn.; his sister, Helen Pontecorvo of Oceanport; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. ISABELLE "LIZ" MEJIAS DEL VALLE, 68, of Aberdeen died Sept. 6 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in New York City, she resided in Aberdeen the past 36 years. She was an aide at Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District for more than 10 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Rebecca’s Reel Quilters, Middletown. She was predeceased by a sister, Lydia Bullon. She is survived by her husband, Angelo Del Valle of Aberdeen; her son, Andrew M. Del Valle of Aberdeen; her daughter, Jacqueline M. Penicaro of Beachwood; two brothers, Louis and Richard Cuesta, both of South Amboy; her sister, Connie Mercado of Parlin; and one grandson. FLORENCE KAUFER, 91, of Keyport died Sept. 6 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Mamaroneck, N.Y., she lived in Hazlet prior to moving to Keyport several months ago. She was employed at the sample room at Lily Tulip, Holmdel. for five years, retiring in 1973. Prior to that, she was employed at N.J. and N.Y. Bell for 45 years, retiring in 1960. She is survived by her husband, Fred Kaufer of Keyport; three sons, Robert Cammerano of Lakewood, John Cammerano of Whiting, and Joseph Cammerano of San Bernadino, Calif.; her stepson, Robert Kaufer of Hazlet; three sisters, Emma Fritzche of Whiting, Louise Burger of Hawley, Pa., and Dolly Bose of New York; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
WARREN N. DAHL, 62, of Aberdeen died Sept. 9 at Westchester Medical, Valhalla, N.Y. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived there until moving to Aberdeen 28 years ago. He was a service technician at Toledo, Incorporated, St. Louis, Mo., for 40 years. He was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Ann Peterson Dahl of Aberdeen; his son, William Dahl of Aberdeen; two daughters, Susan Sweeney of Aberdeen, and Donna Shrum of Hazlet; and nine grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment was at Holmdel Cemetery.
CLINTON C. HEYER, 88, of Matawan died Sept. 9 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Perth Amboy, he was a resident of Matawan for more than 50 years. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was self-employed as a music teacher, teaching piano and organ at his Matawan studio for 50 years, and his home for 10 years. Prior to that, he was a former supervisor and music teacher for the Rumson school system. He also served as a choirmaster and organist at various churches during the past 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Martin Heyer of Matawan; three daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy Marz, Patricia and Dave Haefke, and Bernice Heyer; his brother, Joseph Heyer; and his sister and brother-in-law, Greta and Frank De Marco. A funeral service was held at Trinity Episcopal Church, Matawan.
