The following are the results of the Westlake Ladies’ Golf Association’s Oct. 24 scramble. In first place was the team of Pat Hannisch, Natalie Bindler, Pat Rothman and Gloria Gates with a score of 82, followed by the team of Pat Hanlon, Nancy Robbins, Ellie Stambler and Pat Wilson with 83; the team of Rose Conklin, Joan Mohr, Alba Ramos and Kate Castell with 85; and the team of Nancy Powderly, Gloria Harbour, Karen Shupper and Mary Jo Scotese with 86.
In the closest to the pin competition, Alba Ramos won the third hole, Pat Wilson the sixth, Pat Hannisch the 13th and Gladys Bober the 17th. Paula Barth won the longest drive competition on the first hole, while Pat Hannisch won on the 10th.
The Howell girls’ softball league is accepting applications for the 2003 spring season for ages 6-16. Sign-ups are Nov. 11 from 7-9 p.m. in the gym at Howell Middle School South and Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at Howell Middle School North in the media center.
