STELLA M. CASTILLO, 80, of Mountainside died Nov. 21 in Overlook Hospital, Summit. She was born in Flagstaff, Ariz., and lived in Mountainside for 35 years. She was a graduate of Arizona State Teachers College, Flagstaff. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lords Church, Mountainside. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Ernesto C. Castillo; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael E. and Jeralyn Castillo of Wheeling, Ill., and Charles W. Castillo of Toms River; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia Ann Masseau of Rockaway Township, and Stella Marie and Michael Sosa of Howell; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment was in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

SERGIJ ROHOWYJ, 74, of Barnegat Township died Nov. 21 at home. He was born in the Ukraine, came to the United States and settled in Philadelphia before moving to Barnegat Township in 1976. He was a member of the St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Church in Howell. He was owner of Accurate Machine in Philadelphia for 30 years, retiring in 2001. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Emma Rohowyj of Barnegat; two sons, Michael of Rockledge, Pa., and Anatoly of Waretown; a daughter, Vera Sieber of Barnegat; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Church, Howell. Interment was in St. Vladimir’s Cemetery, Jackson.

FRANCES BENNETT, 84, of Lakewood died Nov. 5 in Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. She was born in Asbury Park and lived in Freehold and Cream Ridge before moving to Lakewood. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Bennett, in 1972, and a daughter, Barbara Brinser, in 1990. Surviving are a son, Donald Bennett of the Perrineville section of Millstone Township; a brother, Daniel Cohen of West Virginia; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold. Interment was in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.

MARGARET G. MACKEVICH, 78, of Freehold, died Nov. 23 at home after a battle with cancer. Born in Freehold, she was a lifelong resident. She was a secretary at Freehold High School for 35 years, retiring in September. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association. She was predeceased by her son, Walter Mackevich Jr. in 1958; and a granddaughter, Tiffany Carswell in 1981. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Scottie Carswell of Jackson, Patricia and Roger MacGillis of Freehold, and Laurie and Bob Misuro of Verona; her sister, Elizabeth Barlow of Manasquan; her sister-in-law, Irene McGackin of Freehold; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Interment was at St. Rose Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

MARYANN E. YETMAN, 77, of Farmingdale died Nov. 23 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was born in Farmingdale and was a lifelong resident. She was a public school teacher for Howell Township, Wall Township and Millstone Township for more than 50 years, during which time she was also a principal in the Seaside Park school system. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Molly Pitcher Chapter No. 98, Freehold. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Hoxie Yetman Sr. and Laura T. Megill Yetman; two brothers, Edward Hoxie Jr. and Frederick Benjamin; and a sister Theressia Marie Yetman. Surviving are two sisters, Sarah Yetman Nelson of Farmingdale, and Amelia Yetman of Wall Township; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A graveside funeral service was offered at Evergreen Cemetery, Adelphia Road, Farmingdale.

EDWIN JOHN PETRY, 58, of Whiting died Nov. 25 at home. Born in New York City, he had lived in Union Beach before moving to Whiting four months ago. Mr. Petry was a maintenance worker for the Union Beach Board of Education, retiring one year ago. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Koerner Petry of Whiting; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Edward Mace of Howell, and Laura and Richard Macklin of Nazareth, Pa.; his son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Michelle Petry of the Belford section of Middletown; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Jerry Rehse of Ramsey; and six grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Middletown.
