Lecture on ‘Voices from Vietnam’ set for Dec. 14

Author and photographer Charlene Edwards will present a lecture on her book, Voices from Vietnam: The Tragedies and Triumphs of Americans and Vietnamese — Two Peoples Forever Entwined by the Legacy of War.

With a foreword written by Robin Moore, author of The Green Berets, Edward’s Voices from Vietnam is a collection of more than 170 photographs and 70 personal narratives of people associated with the war.

The lecture will be presented Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. at the Vietnam Era Educational Center in Holmdel. Those planning to attend are asked to R.S.V.P. to (732) 335-0033. A donation of $5 per person is suggested.

The Vietnam Era Educational Center is adjacent to the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial off the Garden State Parkway at exit 116. The center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular admission is free for veterans and active-duty military personnel. Regular adult admission is $4, student and senior citizen admission is $2, and children under age 10 are admitted free.
