The Monmouth Conservatory of Music in Red Bank will hold auditions for new members Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 25 and 26, at the conservatory, 200 Broad St. To reserve a time, call (732) 741-8880.
The Conservatory Student Strings Orchestra is open to young violin, cello, and viola students of any level through high school.
The Conservatory Chamber Music Program is open to students interested in playing in small ensembles. All instruments, levels and ages are welcome to apply.
The Conservatory Children’s Opera Chorus offers vocal training and the development of musical skills, and is open to children in grades 2-12. Singing experience is not required. The chorus performs at least three concerts a year, and weekly rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings in Lincroft, with children grouped according to age and ability. Placement auditions are being scheduled for early January.
The conservatory offers scholarship support for these programs to serious music students interested in pursuing music performance.
