Peace Weavers plan Jan. 11 gathering in Princeton

The Peace Weavers, a nonprofit organization based in Lambertville, will hold its 13th annual New Year’s Peace Gathering at 7 p.m. Jan. 11 in Princeton University Chapel.
The event will bring together local religious, spiritual and educational leaders as well as grassroots activists to celebrate the spectrum of peace work locally and globally.
The gathering is open to the public. Families are welcome. A $10 donation is requested for each adult. People are encouraged to bring drums and rattles to participate in the musical part of the program.
The group promotes peace and wellness by providing an array of educational opportunities, healing work and retreat experiences.
In conjunction with the gathering, the Peace Weavers will sponsor "Healing the Body Heals the Planet" from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Princeton University Chapel.
This is an opportunity for the public to receive 30-minute sessions of bodywork: chair massage, reflexology or reiki. Sessions are offered by qualified practitioners for $25, and proceeds benefit the Peace Weavers.
