Volunteers needed for ‘First Night’ Dec. 31

The Volunteer Center of Monmouth County, Oakhurst section of Middletown, is seeking individuals for an organization dedicated to prevention and education about drug abuse for its "First Night" in Red Bank Dec. 31 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Individuals are needed to monitor sites at the event.

A West Long Branch senior center seeks volunteers to assist with various kitchen duties Wednesdays at lunch time. A Long Branch agency that assists the needy of Monmouth County needs volunteers to perform filing, mailings and to answer phones Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

An area recovery home for women and children needs child care Monday from 1-3:30 p.m., Tuesday from 9-11 a.m., and Friday from 1-4 p.m.

Children range in age from newborns to 4 years.

An Oakhurst social service agency needs volunteers to assist with filing, copying and data entry. Days and hours are flexible.
