JOHN T. GREGA, 82, of Freehold Township died Jan. 7 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Passaic and lived in the Freehold area all his life. He was the owner and operator of GM Repairs, Freehold Township, for 26 years, retiring five years ago. Prior to that he was service manager at S.B. King and Son, Freehold. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold; a member of American Legion Post No. 54 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4374, both of Freehold; and a member of the Christian Brothers Academy Father’s Club, Lincroft. He was a graduate of Freehold High School, class of 1939. He was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and George Grega; and two sisters, Pauline Curley and Matilda Pfeifer. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Jeanne Filard Grega; three sons, John G. Grega, Anchorage, Alaska, Michael J. Grega, Freehold Township, and Charles P. Grega, Farmingdale; a daughter, Jeanne L. Blaker, Freehold; a brother, Steve Grega, Farmingdale; two sisters, Anna Marazita, Freehold, and Mary Vasseur, Florence, Ky.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. MARIAN RUSSO, 62, of Englishtown died Jan. 14 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. She was born in Plainfield and lived in North Brunswick before moving to Englishtown 11 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Russo. Surviving are a daughter, JoAnn Mattei of Clarksburg; three sons, Michael and Edward Russo of Englishtown, and John Russo of North Brunswick; two sisters, Cathleen Bodo of Ocala, Fla., and Jean Cherneski of Somerset; and seven grandchildren. Interment took place in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.

ROSE BACK, 98, of Englishtown, died Jan. 13 at The Manor Care Center, Freehold Township. Born in Hungary, she resided in Old Bridge for 15 years prior to moving to Englishtown three years ago. She was a lifelong member of Hadassah, and past president of the Menorah Society of New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Back in 1992. She is survived by two sons, Meyer Back of San Francisco, Calif., and Carl Back of Old Bridge; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus.

LAWRENCE "CHUCK" W. CORNELL, 85, of Hillsborough, formerly of Freehold Borough, died Jan. 10 at home. Born in Englishtown, he had lived in Freehold Borough and Somerville before moving to Hillsborough. Mr. Cornell was a sales representative for Houdaille Construction Materials, Bound Brook, for 22 years, retiring in 1982. He was an exempt member of the Englishtown Fire Department and the Monmouth Hose Company, Freehold. He was also a member of the Olive Branch Lodge No. 16, Free and Accepted Masons, Freehold. He was predeceased by a brother, Vernon, two years ago. Mr. Cornell is survived by his wife, Erma; two sons, Lawrence R. of Palmetto, Fla., and Robert J. of Hillsborough; and two grandsons. Interment took place at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. STEPHEN SCHURE, 54, of Point Pleasant, died Jan. 10 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived most of his life in Howell. Mr. Schure was a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in Howell, and was also co-owner of Brookside Country Club, Howell. He was a graduate of Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and earned a master’s degree from Rutgers School of Social Work, New Brunswick. Mr. Schure is survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters and a son-in-law, Melissa and Kenneth Kerr of Howell; and Rebecca Schure of New York City; a brother, Conrad Schure of Freehold; and a grandson. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan, followed by burial at Freehold Hebrew Benevolent Society Cemetery, Freehold Township. JOSEPH T. KAVANAGH SR., 78, of Jersey City died Jan. 14 at Tallwoods Care Center, Bayville. He was a police officer with the Jersey City Police Department for 30 years until his retirement in 1982 and he was a member of the Jersey City Chapter of the Police Officers Benevolent Association. He was a former communicant of Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary, in 1987. He is survived by a son, Joseph T. Kavanagh Jr. of Jersey City; a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Dann DeLorenzo of Manalapan; and three grandchildren. Interment was private.

LESLIE I. ROSENBAUM, 88, of Freehold Township died Jan. 15 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Morristown, he lived in Springfield for 30 years before moving to Freehold Township. Mr. Rosenbaum was a publisher’s representative for TV Guide, where he was national supermarket sales manager. He then went to Life magazine as national sales manager of the merchandising service division. After two years with Life, he founded Magazine Consultants. He retired in 1990. He was a graduate of Dana College, Newark, and a member of Beta Sigma Rho fraternity, where he served as chancellor in 1935-36. He was president of the Springfield Republican Club, and a member of the Republican County Committee and the Springfield Planning Board. He was Springfield’s representative and secretary to the Rahway Valley Sewage Authority and president of the Springfield Industrial Board. He was a member of Temple Beth Ahm, Springfield, and a member of the Men’s Club, where he was executive vice president and Man of the Year in 1977. He was a member of B’nai Abraham of Livingston. Mr. Rosenbaum was predeceased by a daughter, Fran Galossi, in 1992, and a brother, Seymour, in 1997. He is survived by a daughter and two sons-in-law, Nina and Robert Scalia of Manalapan, and Alfredo Galossi of Bridgewater; and six grandchildren. ALECK LAMICELLA, 67, of Newark died Jan. 8 at home. Born in New York City, he lived in Freehold Township before moving to Newark 20 years ago. He was a manager for Alted Trucking, Newark, before retiring several years ago. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph Lamicella. Surviving are his mother, Cecilia Lamicella, Freehold Township; and three brothers, Sam J., Brooklyn, N.Y., Anthony J., Stanhope, and Ted J. Lamicella, Toms River. LOUIS M. PFISTER, 76, of Howell died Jan. 17 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. She was born in Newark and lived in Iselin before moving to Howell 17 years ago. She was a bank teller at First Bank of Colonia, Colonia. She was a communicant of St. Veronica’s Roman Catholic Church, Howell, and a member of Howell Senior Citizens. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald J., in 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Debra Fabricatore of Freehold Township; a sister, Jean Massimino of Colonia; and two grandchildren. Interment took place at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.

JASON M. SIMS, 38, of Freehold Township died Jan. 17 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Plainfield, he lived in North Plainfield before moving to Freehold four years ago. He was a contractor for Michael Albert Construction in Freehold. He was predeceased by his father, Donald Lindsley. WARREN M. CHRISTMAN, 88, of Freehold died Jan. 10 at home. Born in Bowmanstown, Pa., he lived in Palmerton, Pa., before moving to Freehold 42 years ago. He was a real estate appraiser for Denise Realty, Freehold, for years, retiring 10 years ago. Prior to that, he was a laboratory technician for National Lead Co., Sayreville. He was a music supervisor for Central State Public Schools in Pennsylvania, and he was an accomplished organist. He was a member of the American Guild of Organists, Monmouth County Chapter, and of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Freehold. He was predeceased by a brother, Brian B. Christman; and a sister, Marjorie C. Horn. Surviving are four nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

RICHARD WINN McCOY, 74, of Colts Neck died Jan. 20 at home. Born in Altoona, Pa., he lived in Livingston before moving to Colts Neck 37 years ago. He was a construction superintendent for Seacoast Construction Co., Freehold Township, retiring nine years ago. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a charter member of the Colts Neck First Aid Squad and an ex-chief of the Colts Neck Fire Department. Surviving are his wife, Caroline Bossong McCoy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Christopher and Mimi McCoy, Phoenix, Ariz.., and Richard W. ANTON FUCHSLOCH, 95, of Millstone Township died Jan. 21 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Gudenstein, Germany, he lived in Englishtown before moving to Millstone where he was a farmer for 42 years. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Perrineville section of Millstone; and a former member of the Freehold Stamp Club and the New Jersey Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife, Emma Pabst Fuchsloch; two sons, John L. and Anton R. Fuchsloch, both of Millstone; a sister, Cecelia McBride, Feasterville, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. JOSEPH GUGLIELMELLI, 73, of Howell, died Jan. 22 at home. He is survived by his wife Dolores Guglielmelli. Services were held Jan. 27 at the funeral home, followed by entombment.

EDYTHE V. LEE, 92, of Marlboro died Jan. 5 at John L. Montgomery Care Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Attleboro, Mass., and had lived in Marlboro since 1972. She was predeceased by her husband, Stewart J. Lee. Surviving are a daughter, Victoria Nalbone, Lansford, Pa.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

STANLEY WALTER KRZYWICKI, 74, of East Brunswick died Jan. 16 in Applegarth Care Center, Monroe. His wife, Florence Garboski Krzywicki, died in 1993. Surviving are three sons, Brian Krzywicki of the Princeton Junction section of West Windsor, Glenn Krzywicki of Freehold and Gary Krzywicki of South Brunswick; a daughter, Lynn Krzywicki of East Brunswick; a sister, Sonia Solook of Freehold; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

H. DONALD FARRELL, 51, of Milltown died Jan. 17 in JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was a pipe fitter for 13 years at Quick Response Fire Protection, Manalapan. Surviving are his wife, Penny Barker Farrell; a stepson, Ricky of Virginia; a sister, Nancy Skidmore of East Brunswick; and a brother, Richard Farrell of Point Pleasant. WILLIAM IRA LITSKY, 62, of Monroe, formerly of Manalapan, died Jan. 14. Surviving are his wife, Linda Himmel Litsky; two sons, Darrin of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Wayne of New York City; and a daughter, Deborah Keenan of East Windsor. ORTRUDE H. "TRUDY" HOLLERING, 70, of the Lincroft section of Middletown, died Jan. 18 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided in Freehold, Holmdel and Union before moving to Lincroft. She was a retired executive administrative assistant at P.I.C., Asbury Park, and Red Bank. Prior to that, she was a legal secretary at Zager and Fuchs, Red Bank. She was an active member of the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Tinton Falls, where she was involved with its choir, Craft Christians, and vacation Bible school. Her activities included thoroughbred horses, which she and her husband raised and raced. She was predeceased by her husband, L. Karl Hollering, in 1994. She is survived by her son, Kurt F. Hollering of West Long Branch; her daughter, Karen A. Hollering of Freehold; and one grandson. BURTON M. BLUMERT, 56, of Mansfield Township died Jan. 3 at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mount Holly. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he lived in Marlboro for seven years and Freehold for eight years before moving to Mansfield a year ago. He was the chief court officer for New York state, serving all boroughs, until his retirement in 1998. He was a past officer of the Court Officer’s Union; and a volunteer for court mediation for both Monmouth and Burlington counties. He served in the Coast Guard Reserve for seven years. He is survived by his wife, Constance; two daughters, Florence of East Windsor, and Danielle, at home. Cantor Wayne Siet presided over the funeral service, followed by interment at Floral Park Cemetery, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.
