Garbage on road spoils once beautiful Manalapan landscape

It’s too bad that some people can’t stop being slobs. The residents of Knob Hill should not be tarred by the actions of a few. If you ride down Daum Road you will see the garbage strewn on both sides of that road.

Whether it’s from residents who couldn’t care less, workers at Knob Hill who have no regard for where they are, or people driving through looking for a convenient dumping ground, the results are always the same. A green environment has been dramatically turned into an ugly garbage strewn landscape.

People who don’t respect themselves will rarely respect their environment.

Perhaps the callous don’t even notice. Whether it’s through immaturity or rudeness the residents on both sides of the road are confronted by garbage that now disfigures and disgraces what had been a verdant landscape.

Years ago Manalapan had a logo, "A Great Place To Live."

Now that the garbage has despoiled our countryside it might be appropriate to restate that logo as "A trashy place to live!"
