I want to thank the Animal Rescue Force (ARF), East Brunswick, and two of its volunteer workers, Virginia Stillwagen and Catherine Senkins. ARF finds homes for abandoned animals.
Last month I found a 6-month-old declawed, neutered cat on my doorstep during a major snowstorm. ARF put me in contact with a veterinarian who scheduled an appointment right away and gave the cat a rabies shot.
They accepted the cat the ARF booth at the Route 18 Flea Market in East Brunswick. In only a few hours, it was adopted. These people at ARF volunteer their time trying to help abandoned pets. They are angels in my book.
ARF will hold a fund-raiser on April 11 at 6:30 p.m. at East Brunswick High School, Cranbury Road. If anyone wants to support this wonderful organization, you may contact it directly at (732) 257-7559, Mondays-Fridays.
