Bayshore Insta-Care at South Amboy, located in the former emer­gency room at the old Medical Center at South Amboy, 540 Bordentown Ave., will offer a variety of upcoming free community health lectures.

"Do You Have High Cholesterol?" is planned for 10-11 a.m. on March 21. Light refreshments will be served.

"Diabetes — How to Manage It" is set for 10-11 a.m. on April 18.

The community is invited to "Hypertension — What You Need to Know," scheduled for 10-11 a.m. on May 16.

Bayshore Insta-Care at South Amboy, an affiliate of Bayshore Community Health Services, Holmdel, also offers free weekly blood pressure screenings from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesdays.

‘April Showers’ youth

program slated at library

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. on March 27 for "April Showers," a youth program set for 4 p.m. on April 3 at the Old Bridge Main Library, Route 516 and Cottrell Road.

Participants in the program, which is open to youngsters in kindergarten-third grades, will listen to rainy day stories and riddles and work on an umbrella craft project that will turn showers into flowers.

Library card number will be required at registration.

Sandy Sasso Band

to appear in Sayreville

The Sayreville Cultural Arts Council will present Sandy Sasso and the Billion Dollar Big Band in concert at 7:30 p.m. on April 3 at the Sayreville Senior Center, 423 Main St. Admission is free. The public is invited. All ages are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

to offer ‘Guys and Dolls’

The Sayreville War Memorial High School (SWMHS) Theatre Society will present the musical Guys and Dolls at 7 p.m. on March 21 and 22 and at 2 p.m. on March 23 at the high school, Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville.

to meet on March 25

Mid-Jersey Mothers of Multiples will hold its monthly general meeting at 8 p.m. on March 25 at the Washington Engine Company Hall, 176 Jackson St., Matawan.

The program will include a hands-on demonstration of papercrafting tech­niques. In addition, members are invited to bring a special guest relative or friend along to celebrate Grandmother’s Night.

plans scavenger hunt

An environmental scavenger hunt will begin at 1 p.m. on March 23 at the Cheesequake State Park Interpretive Center, 300 Gordon Road, Old Bridge.
