The American Cancer Society will hold its 17th annual fund-raising gala, A Night of Wine and Roses, from 6-11 p.m. on April 26 at the Hilton East Brunswick, 3 Tower Center Blvd.
The festivities will celebrate the volunteer contributions of six New Jersey business leaders: Wally Brady of Verona, senior vice president, Middlesex Water Co., Iselin section of Woodbridge; Marv Goodman of East Brunswick, president, W. Berman Decorating Marketplace, East Brunswick; John Hoffman, Esq., of Piscataway, managing partner of Wilentz, Goldman and Spitzer, Woodbridge; Sam Nowell of Fair Haven, former head of Nowell Associates, Perth Amboy; George Shamy, Esq., of North Brunswick, partner, Shamy and Shamy, New Brunswick; and Ray Zirpolo of the Colonia section of Woodbridge, owner of The Club at Woodbridge and Club Ricochet, South Plainfield.
A cocktail reception is set for 6 p.m. Dinner and dancing will follow at 7:30 p.m. Other highlights will include a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle sponsored by the American Cancer Society Partners in Cancer Control. Raffle chances cost $100 each.
Tickets for the black-tie gala cost $300 per person. The public is welcome.
