ENGINEERING
   The Nielsen-Wurster Group Inc. named Michael Bennink 2002 Employee of the Year. Mr. Bennink, a project consultant in the Princeton office, has been an employee of Nielsen-Wurster since 2001. He resides in Hightstown with his wife and two children.
BUSINESS COUNCIL
   Philip Kirschner, of Moorestown, assumed his duties as the new president of the 19,500-member New Jersey Business & Industry Association. Mr. Kirschner was selected president by NJBIA’s Board of Trustees to replace the retiring President Joseph E. Gonzalez Jr. He is the ninth president in the association’s 93-year history.
ARCHITECTURE
   The American Institute of Architects, New Jersey, elevated Princeton resident Karen Nichols to its prestigious College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made contributions of national significance to the profession.
   This fellowship is conferred on architects with at least 10 years membership in the association who have made significant contributions in not only the profession but in education, leadership and society through significant public service.
   Currently a Principal at Michael Graves & Associates in Princeton, Ms. Nichols has been with the firm for more than 25 years. She is only the third female AIA NJ member to have the title Fellow of the American Institute of Architects conferred on her.
   Also elevated to the College of Fellows is Daniel Nall, a Princeton resident. Mr. Nall is a senior vice president and director of Advanced Technology at the New York office of Flack and Kurtz.
TECHNOLOGY
   Pyramid Vision Technologies, a leading provider of real-time video intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, announced that it has hired Ronald L. Bauer as vice-president of sales. Mr. Bauer brings 25 years of high-tech sales experience in aeronautics to his new position. He will be responsible for the expansion of the company’s domestic and international sales, keeping pace with rapidly growing demand for military products from Pyramid Vision Technologies.
   Pyramid Vision Technologies is a venture company of Sarnoff Corporation, Princeton.
MARKETING
   Matt Bove has joined East Coast Media of Hillsborough as dedicated corporate account manager. He will continue to specialize in the healthcare, insurance, financial and membership markets by concentrating on commercial printing, direct mail, and fulfillment services. East Coast Media is Somerset County’s only production-based corporate supplier of printing, color imaging, promotional products and apparel.

   Princeton Communications Group Inc. once again walked away with more ASTRA awards than any other entrant, amassing a total of 12 gold and silver trophies. The awards received were in categories ranging from annual reports and poster design, to newspaper advertising and Web design. For the past five years, PCG has accepted the most honors for a single agency among the 45 competing companies and 275 entries.
HEALTH CARE
   St. Francis Medical Foundation has named four new members to the board of trustees.
   Phyllis Coyer, a resident of Princeton, has served as a volunteer for many community organizations including the Catholic Charities, Princeton Medical Center, The Hun School of Princeton, Rutgers Preparatory School and St. Paul Parish in Princeton.
   Monsignor Walter E. Nolan, pastor of St. Paul Church in Princeton. He has served at St. Gregory School in Hamilton, Notre Dame High School in Lawrenceville and at Rider University as chaplain. He is a tribunal judge and host of the cable television and AM radio talk show "Catholic Corner."
   Karen Laub, of Hopewell, is the past president of the St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary, vice chair of the New Jersey Hospital Association Council on Auxiliaries, and a volunteer at Princeton Day School and the American Heart Association.
   Donald Tretola, currently regional public affairs manager at PSE&G, is a member of the State of New Jersey Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, New Jersey Police Chiefs Association, Mercer County EDC Council and the Honor Legion of Police Departments of New Jersey.
   The St. Francis Medial Center Foundation was founded in 1993 with the purpose of supporting the programs and services of the medical center through fund-raising activities.
LAW
   Kevin P. McManimon, an associate with the Princeton law firm, Mason, Griffin & Pierson, has been appointed to the Criminal Justice Act Panel. The members of the panel represent eligible criminal defendants in the Trenton vicinage of the United States District Court. Mr. McManimon is a member of the firm’s litigation and criminal law practice group.
GOOD DEEDS
   A $1,000 scholarship has been created and funded by the Princeton-area law firm of Pellettierei, Rabstein & Altman to recognize contributions made by a volunteer "buddy" in the Hamilton YMCA Special Kids Organized Recreation (SKOR) program.
   The SKOR program, started in 1999, runs basketball, soccer and summer camps programs for special needs children in the Hamilton area. More than 100 special needs children participate in the program. They are aided by "buddies," who are high school students who volunteer their time to help.
   The scholarship, which will be given to a graduating high school senior to help with higher education costs, will be supervised by Tom Smith, a partner at Pellettieri, Rabstein & Altman, one of the founders of the SKOR program, and a board member of the Hamilton YMCA.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
   Karamjeet S. Mangat, a financial advisor with the Skillman office of American Express, has been appointed a member of the company’s prestigious Advanced Advisor Group – Senior Financial Advisor. The members are selected based upon experience, professional designations and quality of client service.
TECHNOLOGY
   Fidelia Technology, based in West Windsor, received top honor at this year’s New Jersey Technology Council Venture Capital Fair. Selected from more than 55 exhibiting vendors as the "Company Most Likely to Succeed," the privately held, venture-funded software company was founded in 2000. It’s 2002 launch of NetVigil software solution is credited with Fidelia’s recognition at this early stage of their growth.

   Interlace Corporation, a business integration services company located in Princeton, has announced that Etienne Perold has joined the firm in the role of chairman. Interlace specializes in rapidly automating electronic business transactions between customers and their trading partners.
