Mariachi music, storytelling, Mexican folk dancing and bluegrass music will be featured at the 29th annual New Jersey Folk Festival set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 26 on the grounds of the Eagleton Institute, corner of George Street and Ryders Lane, Douglass College campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick. The event will take place rain or shine.

The Grammy Award-nominated Roland White Band will headline the day’s activities.

The festival will feature four stages of music, dance and workshops; children’s activities including pony rides and a petting zoo; ethnic foods; a juried craft market; and a New Folk Showcase.

"Mexican-American Traditions," the 2003 heritage theme, will spotlight the Casa Mexico Folk Dancers, the Mariachi Oro de Mexico and the Ballet Folklórico de Princeton.
