Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Southern Middlesex County will hold a benefit yard sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 18 in the Concordia Shopping Center, between Stop and Shop and Ocean First Bank, Prospect Plains Road, Monroe.

flea market, bake sale

A flea market and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 17 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 3091 Bordentown Ave., Parlin section of Sayreville. Rain date is May 24.

Vendors are sought for the Presbyterian Women of the First Presbyterian Church of Sayreville flea market set for 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 7 in the church parking lot, 172 Main St.

Columbiettes slate

scramble for June 6

The Columbiettes of Immaculate Conception Knights of Columbus Council No. 4907 will sponsor a scramble (tricky tray) beginning at 8 p.m. on June 6 at the Knights hall, Crescent Avenue, Spotswood. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

The event will feature refreshments and door prizes. Cost is $5 per person. Adults only will be admitted.

Theater group seeks

workshop instructors

Sayreville Main Street Theatre Company (SMSTC) is seeking experienced performing arts teachers for the theater’s first five-week summer workshop program scheduled to begin in the latter part of June and end during the first week in August.

Positions to be filled include an acting instructor versatile in mime, scene study and characterization; a dance instructor with strong technique in tap, ballet, jazz and musical theater movement; and a music instructor who can play piano and is experienced teaching large ensembles.
