Old Bridge officer’s professionalism made event less traumatic

I am writing this letter with the greatest appreciation for our men in blue.

On Friday, April 11, my daughter was involved in a minor traffic accident in Old Bridge. As this was her first, and hopefully last, accident, it was a very traumatic experience for her and for her mom and dad. But if it were not for Patrolman Richard Mustacchio and his outstanding professionalism, understanding and compassion, the event would have been a lot more traumatic.

As an assistant road supervisor for the Middlesex County Road Department, I am in daily contact with numerous police departments and their officers and have leaned a great deal from them. But it is not until you come into contact on a personal basis that you really see and appreciate what the phrase "To Protect and Serve" means.

So to Patrolman Richard Mustacchio, our most sincere thanks for a job well done.
