The following are the results of the Tamarack Women’s Nine-Hole Golf Association’s May 8 outing. The game played was criers — three worst holes revert to par. Dot Terringer won the A Flight with a 26, followed by Annabelle Donnamaria (27), Joan Hoskins (30) and Kelly Guariglia (31). Marion Batchelor won the B Flight with a 21, followed by Abbey Lorber (23), Gerry Hurley (25) and Diane Del Masto (27). Ronnie Bohn was the C Flight with a 20, followed by Joy Goldstein (26) and Helen Michna (27). Edythe Gutman, Donnamaria, Hoskins and Guariglia all had fewest putts with 16.

The Sayreville Soccer Association will hold travel tryouts for the 2003-04 season on May 19 and 21 for boys, and May 20 and 22 for girls, ages U9 through U19. Tryouts will take place at the Sayreville Soccer complex on Bordentown Road in Sayreville from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.. The East Brunswick Boys’ Basketball Booster Club will be running a basketball tournament June 6-8 at East Brunswick High School. There are three separate age divisions, high school boys (17U), high school girls (17U), and a boys youth (12U). The cost is $300, with a guarantee of three games and a fourth game for the pool winners. The Lady Shooting Starz Basketball Camp will take place July 7-10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sayreville War Memorial High School on Washington Road in Parlin. The camp is open to those girls entering the fourth grade through 12th grade in September, and will feature the Sayreville High School girls’ basketball coaching staff. The cost is $95 for four days of intense, but fun basketball. Costs include individual instruction and development, fundamental instruction and full-court games every day. A camp T-shirt will also be included in the cost of the camp. The camp will be a fun, yet enjoyable experience at one of the county’s upcoming girls’ basketball programs.
