A thief, carrying a knife, stole 144 cartons of cigarettes from a delivery truck parked in a lot on Kennedy Boulevard at 9:28 a.m. May 16, according to a police report.
The thief did not use the knife and no one was injured in the incident, Detective First Class Mike Guilbert said Wednesday.
The Somerset County prosecutor’s office forensics team and the Manville Police Department are investigating the incident, but no arrests have been made yet, according to police.
A caller reporting the theft translated the message from the driver, who does not speak English, according to police.
