E.B. sets Fourth of July
celebration, food drive
The township of East Brunswick will host its annual Independence Day celebration on July 4 at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds, Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Rain date is July 5.
The fairgrounds will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. Food vendors and children’s activities will be featured.
Entertainment will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a DJ. Shore-2-Pleaze, one of the Jersey Shore’s newest cover bands, will present a live concert beginning at 7 p.m. A fireworks show choreographed to patriotic music will begin at dusk.
Parking and admission are free of charge, but festivalgoers are asked to participate in the township’s summer food drive by donating a nonperishable food item. All food collected will be distributed to East Brunswick’s needy families and donated to MCFOODS, MThe Fourth of July celebration is sponsored by the Township of East Brunswick, Division of Recreation and Community Services.

Rosary society seeks
vendors for flea market
St. Thomas Rosary Society, Old Bridge, is seeking vendors for its 13th annual Giant Flea Market, set for 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 in St. Thomas the Apostle Church parking lot, Route 18 south, Old Bridge. Rain date is Sept. 13.
Spaces cost $15 each, $25 for two.

Sp’wood church to hold
flea market on June 28
Trinity United Methodist Church will sponsor a flea market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 28 at the church, 70 Manalapan Road, Spotswood. The event will take place rain or shine. Proceeds will be used to finance the church’s summer vacation Bible school. For more information, call (732) 251-1449.
