Hazel L. Olson, 84, of Springfield, Ill., died Saturday, June 21, at The Elms of Cranbury Nursing Home in Cranbury.
Ms. Olson was born in Carlinville, Ill., and was a resident of Dayton before moving to Springfield, Ill., 50 years ago. She retired in 1959 from Allis-Chambers, Inc. in Bloomington, Ill., where she was a secretary for 20 years. She was a member of Laurel Methodist Church in Springfield, Ill., and served as a volunteer secretary for 15 years. She was also a former member of D.A.R. in Springfield.
Her husband, John A. Olson, is deceased. She is survived by a son, John T and her daughter-in-law, Sandra Olson, both of Dayton; a sister, Eileen MacMurdo of Virden, Ill.; and two grandchildren, B.J. and Brian Olson.
Burial will take place at Camp Butler Cemetery in Illinois under the direction of M.J. Murphy Funeral Home in Monmouth Junction. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Mission Fund at Dayton Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 435, Dayton, N.J. 08810.
