The Monroe Township Library will offer its annual Youth Theater Festival beginning July 2. The series is sponsored by the Friends of the Monroe Township Library.
The children’s theater production schedule is as follows:
• July 2 — singer/songwriter Patricia Shih in a concert for youngsters ages 4 and up;
• July 8 — Cinderella’s Storyland, a one-woman show aimed at ages 3 and up, presented by Kit’s Kaboodle;
• July 22 — Peter Pan, presented by Duet Productions, open to ages 3 and up;
• July 29 — Ronald Sopyla and Shadow Puppets will bring stories to life for children ages 4 and up.
All performances begin at 7 p.m. Free tickets will be available at the library’s youth services desk one week before each performance date.

Baby-sitting course
scheduled at library
Young people ages 11-15 are invited to a Baby-sitting Basics Course set for 2:15-4:15 p.m. on July 8, 9 and 10 at the Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St.
Presenters will be health educators from the Middlesex County Health Department. Topics will include basic safety and discipline. Participants must attend all three sessions to receive a completion certificate.

South River Seniors
plans meeting, A.C. trip
South River Seniors will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. on July 3 at the Philo Masonic Hall, 120 Old Bridge Turnpike, South River. Individuals age 55 and over are welcome to attend. The NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees) New Jersey Chapter 1533 summer outing will be a July 17 trip to dinner at the Wild Scallion Restaurant, Leonardo section of Middletown, followed by a performance of the comedy Kiss the Bride at the First Street Playhouse, Atlantic Highlands.
