Margaret "Peggy" Scherer, 68, of Monmouth Junction, died Monday, Aug. 4, at University Medical Center of Princeton.
Born in New Brunswick, she was a lifelong resident of Monmouth Junction. She was a member of the South Brunswick Senior Citizens Club.
Her parents, Elizabeth and Harry Hoffman, are deceased. She is survived by a husband, Charles H. Scherer II: a son and daughter-in-law, Richard J. and Susan Scherer of Kendall Park; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Susan A. and James Patti and Catherine M. and Doug Wolfe of Westampton; four grandchildren, James Jr., Doug Jr., Matt and Kim; and eight great grandchildren; six stepchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of M.J. Murphy Funeral Home in Monmouth Junction. Burial took place at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick.
