The Friends of Allaire Village Inc., Route 524, Wall Township, the nonprofit group supporting the historic village’s educational programming, will present The Halloween Hayride of the 1830s Howell Works community on Oct. 11 and 18 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The Halloween Hayride will start in front of the Visitor Center and enter the woods for a trip to the Historic Village at Allaire. There will be peculiar individuals and mysterious customs portrayed along the route as well as storytellers, a bonfire and music, among other items of interest. Cost of the tour is $10 per person. Autumn flea market

Allaire Village Inc. is hosting its Autumn Flea Market as a fund-raiser Oct. 11 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Show Field at the Historic Village at Allaire in Allaire State Park, Route 524, Wall Township. Admission to the flea market will be $1 per adult. Children under 12 accompanied by an adult will be admitted free. More than 125 vendors will display old, new and hand-made items of all types. In the case of inclement weather the event will take place Oct. 12.

Dealers may only participate by paid registration in advance. The fee for space is $25. Applications after Oct. 6 must be made in person or by phone with a credit card. Call (732) 919-3500 or visit www.allairevillage.org.
