WisTeria, Allentown, is hosting its second annual Think Pink Party and Vera Bradley Trunk Show Oct. 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Guests will be treated to "pink" refreshments, door prizes every hour (guests who wear pink will receive an extra ticket), handouts on self-examination, and 20 percent off all Vera Bradley accessories.

WisTeria will make a donation to the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation based on the sales volume of this event. Last year, a donation of $350 was made. The Trunk Show and discounts will continue on Sunday, Oct. 26, from noon to 5 p.m. WisTeria is located at 28 South Main St.

The Calderone School of Music, which serves students from Central New Jersey, including the Freehold area, has announced that Christian Buechler has joined the staff. Buechler is a bassoon and contra-bassoonist specialist and performs with many New York and New Jersey symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Eastman School of Music. The Calderone School has locations in East Hanover and Millburn.

Monmouth Crossing, a facility of CentraState Healthcare System, Freehold Township, is the recipient of the first Best Practices Award given to an assisted living residence by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.

The award recognizes and disseminates information about what works well in assisted living residences so that other providers can use these showcased programs to improve quality.
