U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla No. 23, Fort Monmouth, will offer a boating skills and seamanship course Oct. 27-Dec. 1 at the Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library, Shrewsbury. The course will be held Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.; fee is $50 (additional family members are $10). Topics will include introduction to boating, boating laws, personal safety equipment, safe boat handling, and navigation. A New Jersey Boating Safety certificate will be awarded upon completion, and the course meets state requirements to apply for a PWC/JETSKI license. To register, call (732) 946-8273.
