Writer believes O’Brien is clear choice in Sayreville

I have lived in Sayreville for a very long time, and I have been following this election for mayor very closely. I have read the many flattering and not so flattering letters to the editor for both candidates; however, in my opinion the choice is pretty clear.

Mayor Kennedy O’Brien stopped developers from building on 500 acres of land, and he is trying to lower taxes by bringing in a minor league baseball stadium on Raritan Bay.

His opponent, Councilman Tom Marcinczyk, stopped Sayreville from getting a state grant to clean up toxic waste, in addition to being charged with breaking zoning laws and intimidating borough employees.

Sayreville’s mayor should be a gentleman, not a bully. I am supporting Kennedy O’Brien and his Borough Council running mates, John Melillo and Stanley Drwal.
