The Metuchen-Edison Woman’s Club is planning a charity auction Nov. 21 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 17 Oak Ave., Metuchen, beginning with a preview at 6:30 p.m. and bidding starting at 7:30 p.m.

All funds raised will be donated to the ARC of Middlesex County, which serves developmentally disabled children, adults and their families.

The club will hold its monthly membership meeting Nov. 5 at the church at 7:30 p.m. Anyone interested in joining is invited to attend. The club is a community service organization.

Family Friends holds weekly play groups

Family Friends, a nonprofit, all-volunteer parenting group, will hold weekly play groups at Birthdays for B.R.A.T.Z., 24 Jersey Ave., Metuchen.

Regular play groups are held each Monday from 10 a.m. to noon, and baby play groups are held each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
