A statement by Yehuda Shain in your issue dated Oct. 23, 2003 implied that Beth Medrash Govoha may have neglected to respond to a request for information by Lakewood’s tax assessor.
This implication is groundless and false. As the assessor’s office will attest, we have responded to all requests from their office in a complete and timely fashion.
We regret that the Tri-Town News failed to contact us prior to its publication of Shain’s baseless allegation so as to give us the opportunity to respond to him. We thank the Tri-Town News for this opportunity to set the record straight.
