High school board honors retirees

The Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education recently honored employees who retired during the past year.

"The following employees have retired after serving faithfully and well in the district," said board member Marlene Caruso. "Throughout their service, they have dedicated themselves to meeting the needs of the students of the district, and through their devotion to duty and concern for the welfare of the students they have gained the admiration of their colleagues and have earned the respect of all."

On behalf of the district, Caruso thanked each person for the job he or she did.

A momento commemorating the occasion was presented to William Barricelli, teacher and supervisor; Joan Bowers, bus driver; Leonard Christiforo, teacher; Carole Fineman, secretary; Kenneth Granderson, custodian; Ruth Halajian, bus driver; Robert Jacobs, teacher; Ruth Kabus, speech therapist; and Marjorie Mandel, learning disabilities teacher consultant.

Also, Barbara McMorrow, teacher, supervisor, assistant principal, and principal; Daniel McNamee, custodian; Yvonne McRae, teacher aide; Donald Megill, custodian; Emily Palser, secretary; Jane Pool, teacher and guidance counselor; Marsha Pratt, executive secretary; Salvatore Profita, custodian; Arlene Pullen, supervisor; Margaret Racioppi, bus driver; Ana Roe, teacher; and Eleanor Schoenfelder, secretary.
