Frances Presti, 36, of Neptune died Oct. 29 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Hazlet, she resided there prior to moving to Neptune two years ago. She held a master’s degree. She was a member the Bayshore Women’s Softball League for many years. She was predeceased by her father, Francis Presti, in 1990. She is survived by her mother, Dora Onofrio Presti of Hazlet; her partner, Jenn Martino of Neptune; a sister, Donna Cottrell of Brick; two brothers, Paul Presti of Union Beach and John Presti of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Robert Hindman Jr.

Mr. Hindman, 66, of Monmouth Beach died Oct. 13 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in East Orange, he resided in Cedar Grove and Belleville prior to moving to Monmouth Beach in 1967. Mr. Hindman was president/owner of Robert Hindman Inc., New York City, where he was employed since 1957. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Clifton. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Audrey M. Kelly Hindman; three sons and daughters-in-law, Scott A. and Barbara Hindman of West Long Branch, Donald B. and Kas Hindman of Howell, and Douglas R. and Kim Hindman of West Long Branch; two daughters and sons-in-law, Heather D. and James J. Sullivan of Monmouth Beach, and Bonnie J. and Stephen Solan of Long Branch; and eight grandchildren. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Eric G. Dalrymple

Mr. Dalrymple, 95, of Lakewood died Oct. 25 at Harrogate Health Care Center, Lakewood. Born in New York City, he resided in Springfield before moving to Lakewood eight years ago. A graduate of Brooklyn’s Polytechnic University, for 35 years he was an engineer for Bell Telephone Laboratories, Murray Hill, until he retired in 1972. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lakewood, a member of the Masonic Lodge, Millburn, and a former member of Christ Church, Short Hills. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Wagle Dalrymple; two sons, Eric Dalrymple of New Canaan, Conn., and Peter L. Dalrymple of Houston; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held at Harrogate Health Care Center. Cremation was private, with D’Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood, in charge of arrangements. Thomas DiCapua

Mr. DiCapua, 69, of the Belford section of Middletown, died Oct. 22 at home. Born in Long Branch, he resided in Middletown before moving to Belford 25 years ago. He was a longshoreman with Local ILA No. 901-1, retiring in 1998. He was also the owner-operator of Playtime Boys, and Four Sons and Lisa, both in Keansburg. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He was a member of the Middletown Elks No. 2179. He was predeceased by his parents, Jerry and Angelina Cagnoli DiCapua; and three sons, Steven DiCapua, Thomas DiCapua Jr., and Brian DiCapua. He is survived by his son, Gye DiCapua of Hollywood, Calif.; his daughter, Lisa DiCapua of New Orleans; six broth­ers, Jerry DiCapua, Michael DiCapua and Louis DiCapua, all of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Joseph DiCapua and Frederick DiCapua, both of Keansburg, and John DiCapua of Jackson; three sisters, Margaret Salerno of Howell, Eleanor McManus of Hazlet, and Angelina DiCapua of the Leonardo section of Middletown; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth sec­tion of Middletown. Entombment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Ar­rangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.

Walter Cornetz

Mr. Cornetz, 81, of Hamilton Square died Oct. 2 while traveling in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Born in New York City, he lived there before moving to Hamilton Square. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II and a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. An electronic engineer at Lakehurst Naval Air Station until his retirement, he received a master’s degree in engineering from Temple University in Philadelphia. He is survived by his wife, Vera Cornetz. A funeral service was held at St. Mary Russian Orthodox Church, Jackson, with the Rev. John Prokopiuk officiating. Interment followed at St. Vladimir’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson, with the C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell, in charge of arrangements.

Lois Phoebe Schwartzman

Mrs. Schwartzman, 66, of Freehold Town­ship died Nov. 3 at her daughter’s home in Howell. Born in Durham, N.C., she had lived in Lakewood for two years before moving to Freehold Township 38 years ago. A graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, she had been an office manager for Tuzek Co. in New York City. She had also been previously em­ployed at the Princeton Marriott and as a sub­stitute English teacher for the Manalapan-En­glishtown Regional School District. Surviving are her husband, Edwin Schwartzman; five daughters and sons-in-law, Miriam and Blair Smith of Monroe, Wash., Susan and William Lyon of Ortonville, Mich., Judith and Scott Thacke of Howell, Anne and Mark Skibniewski of Old Bridge, and Ruth and David Cook of Mount Holly; her mother, Ida Zuckerman of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Ellen Zuckerman, also of Brooklyn; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, with Rabbi Michael Klein officiating. Interment followed at Hebrew Benefit Society Cemetery, Freehold Township.

Anthony Louis Randon

Mr. Randon, 47, of Lakewood died Oct. 20 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Howell before moving to Lakewood three years ago. For 27 years he was a shipping and receiving foreman at the A&P warehouse in Edison, and a member of Teamsters Local 863. He is survived by his parents, Eleanora and Victor of Boca Raton, Fla.; two sons, Anthony and Jai Michael Randon, both of Howell; a daughter, Christina Randon of Point Pleasant Beach; the mother of his children, Denise DiFiore of Howell; two brothers, Dave Randon of Morganville and Ron Randon of West Hampton, N.Y.; a sister, Marisa Anderson of Staten Island, N.Y.; four nieces; three nephews; and his companion, Patty Kubaska of Lakewood. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church in Farmingdale, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Robert A. Nichols Sr.

Mr. Nichols, 71, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Howell, died Oct. 22 at St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie. Born in Plainfield, he lived in Howell before moving to Port St. Lucie in 1997. For more than 45 years, he was a telephone communications technician for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. and then AT&T. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 318 and the Singletarian Society of Port St. Lucie. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan B. Nichols, in 1999. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. and Rhonda Nichols Jr. of Howell, and Richard A. and Michele Nichols of Jackson; one sister, Anne LaPointe of Huntsville, Ala.; and two grandsons. A funeral service was held at St. William the Abbott Catholic Church, Howell, with the Rev. Michael Manning officiating. Interment fol­lowed at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent sec­tion of Manalapan. The C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Frances M. Losardo

Mrs. Losardo, 86, of Howell died Oct. 23 at Jackson Center Genesis Eldercare, Jackson. Born in Jersey City, she lived there before moving to Howell 10 years ago. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Veronica, Howell, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She worked as a Comptometer operator for Western Electric until she retired in 1981. Surviving is her niece, Teresa Tuohy of Howell; many other nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. A funeral service was held at the Church of St. Veronica, followed by in­terment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. The C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia section of Howell, was in charge of arrangements.

Mona Silverstein

Mrs. Silverstein, 94, of Lakewood died Oct. 23 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Russia, she resided in New York before moving to Lakewood 31 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin, in 1980. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Sorena Silverstein of Middletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Steven Gelber of Freehold Township; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, N.Y. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.

Florence Marie Faustmann

Mrs. Faustmann, 87, of Howell died Oct. 25 at home. Born in Newark, she resided in Colts Neck for 40 years before moving to Howell in 1998. Before her retirement, Mrs. Faustmann was a clerk at Prudential Insurance, Newark, and a sales associate at various retail stores for several years. She attended Colts Neck Reformed Church, where she also taught Sunday school. She was predeceased by her husband, August George Faustmann, in 2000. She is survived by two sons, Robert A. Faustmann Sr. of Penns Park, Pa., and Christopher L. Faustmann of the Wanamassa section of Ocean Township; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Park, Hazlet. Arrangements were by C.H.T. Clayton & Son Funeral Home, Adelphia.

Rita Johnson Gaughan

Mrs. Gaughan, 83, of Lakewood died Oct. 25. Born in Weehawken, she moved to Lakewood in 1934. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School and Drake’s Business College in Newark. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lakewood, since 1934, and a former member of Catholic Daughters of America Court 310. For 15 years she was employed by the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co., Lakewood, as a service representative and later worked for Georgian Court College, Lakewood, as secretary to the dean of education. As a Leisure Village East resident, she was a member of the Heritage Club, past president and member of the Ladies Golf Club, former member of the Pine Cone Club and the Choristers, and former chairwoman of the Leisure Village East Library. Mrs. Gaughan was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Frank Gaughan, and a son, John. Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Byrne of Beachwood; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Gaughan of Florida; two sisters, Elizabeth Inderrieden of Lakewood and Janice Keifer of Moorestown; six grandchildren; and four great-grandsons. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Mary of the Lake Church, followed by interment at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. D’Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood, was in charge of arrangements.

Julia B. Janowski Zeczkowski

Mrs. Zeczkowski, 74, of Hazlet died Oct. 25 at University Hospital of Newark. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided there until moving to Hazlet 46 years ago. Mrs. Zeczkowski was a line supervisor at Charles of the Ritz, Holmdel, for 15 years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She was a member of the Holy Family Golden Agers, Deborah Hospital Women’s Guild, and the Hazlet Senior Citizen Club. She also was an active volunteer with Project Linus NJ, Keyport, where she crocheted several blankets for the project. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Stephen F. Zeczkowski; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Kathleen and Donald LaMontagne of Wall, Theresa Berg of Morganville, Victoria and Stanley Chapman of Manchester, N.H., and Christine and Arthur Smith of Jackson; a sister, Mary Bledsoe of Woodbridge, Va.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach, followed by interment at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
