Mrs. Kopp, 80, of Middletown died Nov. 12 at St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Castlehill, Maine, she resided in Middletown the past 60 years. She was the owner/operator of Salon 36, East Keansburg, for 20 years. She was a past member of Bayshore Community Church, Middletown, as well as a member of its board of trustees. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and Peter Horbach of Tampa, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Joan Kopp of the Leonardo section of Middletown, and Larry and Beth Kopp of Ocean; two brothers and one sister-in-law, William and Mary Jinks of Churdan, Iowa, and Leland Jinks of Zephyrhills, Fla.; her sister-in-law, Mary Kopp of Middletown; and four grandchildren. Arrangements were by John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Entombment was at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown.

Gabrielle Russomano Zigich

Mrs. Zigich, 38, of Neptune died Nov. 4. Born in Long Branch, she was a lifelong resident of the shore area. She was a dental assistant at Monmouth Dental Center, Eatontown, for 10 years. She was a graduate of Long Branch High School and Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Russomano. She is survived by a son, Drew. at home; a daughter, Gillian, at home; her mother, Marjorie I. Riddell of Neptune; her maternal grandmother, Yolanda Florida of Long Branch; and several aunts and uncles. Arrangements were by Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch.

Bertha Anna Christie

Mrs. Christie, 69, of the Clarksburg section of Millstone, died Nov. 15 at Capital Health System in Trenton. Born in Philadelphia, she was raised in Lindenwold and was a graduate of Philadelphia’s Hahnemann University Hospital School of Nursing. Before raising children, she spent the early part of her life working as a registered nurse. She later became a bookkeeper for Chris Industries, a family business located in Howell. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Laurel Springs Chapter No. 227. Surviving are her husband, David A. Christie; two sons, David A. Christie Jr. of Howell and Mark Christie of Eatontown; a daughter, Susan Christie of Howell; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent section of Manalapan, with the Rev. Dr. Hugh A. MacKenzie officiating. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Central New Jersey Chapter, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, 08902; or to Shriners Hospital, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.

Frank J. "Bill" Yawger

Mr. Yawger, 83, of Hazlet died Nov. 17 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Erie, Pa., he resided in the West Keansburg section of Hazlet and Union Beach prior to moving to Hazlet five years ago. He was a retired handyman for 30 years. Prior to that, he operated a vending service at Fort Monmouth for 30 years. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. While serving in England, he met his wife-to-be in the English army; she was the first war bride in Monmouth County. He was a member of the 8th Air Force Historical Society. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary French Yawger in 1980. He is survived by three daughters, Irene DeMetro of Hazlet, Sheridan Novitch of Toms River, and Wendy Windsor of Georgia; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Interment was at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
