GOOD DEEDS
As part of the Martin House 100 Homes for 100 Families Campaign, Yardville National Bank has donated the funds needed to construct the 66th home. Martin House is working to build, during the next five years, 100 homes for very low-income families from the area of Trenton surrounding East State Street.
Through Martin House, it takes $63,000 to build a new home for a low-income family. Private contributions and matching government funding allows Martin House to create a home with an 11-year, interest-free mortgage. To date, 113 mortgages have been created and 43 have been retired. The organization assists families in need that would not be granted mortgages from traditional financial institutions.
