Jackson PBA to hold
annual food, toy drive

The Jackson Township Policemen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) Local 168 has begun its fourth annual food and toy drive for underprivileged Jackson families. All food and toys will be turned over to the Jackson Women of Today who run the Jackson Branch of the Food Banks of Ocean and Monmouth Counties. For the second year in a row, in cooperation with the Jackson ShopRite, the Jackson PBA provided complete Thanksgiving dinners to 10 Jackson families selected by the Jackson Women of Today. The meals were paid for by a collection from the general membership of the Jackson PBA combined with a donation from the Jackson ShopRite. Nonperishable food items and new, unwrapped toys in their original packaging will be accepted at the following locations: Jackson Police Headquarters, 102 Jackson Drive; and Jackson municipal building, 95 West Veterans Highway; Powerhouse Gym at the Brook Plaza, New Prospect Road; ShopRite,; Foodtown and Stop and Shop, all on County Line Road in Jackson. Details: (732) 928-1111. The Powerhouse Gym will give a two-week membership to their facility to all non-gym members who donate a nonperishable food or toy at their gym.
