Area high school receives SCC award

Long Branch High School recently received a contract award for $60,197,000 toward the construction of the new high school. The award was given by the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation (SCC).

The school will house 1,608 students, and encompass 300,000 square feet. Hunt Construction Group Inc. was the qualified bidder for the project. The approved projects are being fully funded and managed by the SCC as part of the $8.6 billion school construction program initiated by Gov. James E. McGreevey.
