Registration for the Merrill Park baseball season will be held at Avenel Middle School cafeteria on Jan. 17 from 10 a.m.-noon. The league is for boys and girls ages 5-15, and the season runs from April through June. The cut-off date is 7/31. The costs are $60 one sport, and $100 both sports, with discounts for multiple players. There is a$20 family workbond (refundable at season’s end). Please bring a copy of the player’s birth certificate to registration. Payment by check or money order only (no cash). Baseball and softball winter camps will be held at the Baseball Warehouse Instructional Academy in Highland Park. Baseball Camp will be Dec. 29, 30 and 31, and will have two sessions: pitching (9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) and hitting (12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.). Softball Camp will be Dec. 27 and 28 with pitching (9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) and hitting (12:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.) Both camps are for players age 7-13, and each session is limited to 30 players.
