Annual New Year’s Day beach walk Jan. 1
The American Littoral Society, Sandy Hook, will host its 29th annual New Year’s Day beach walk Jan. 1 at 11 a.m. beginning at building 18, Fort Hancock, Sandy Hook. The free event will also feature a scavenger hunt for children.
The three-mile walk is open to the public and will take place around the tip of Sandy Hook. Children will receive a list of items to search for while on the walk. The event will end with refreshments such as hot dogs, desserts and hot chocolate.
