Water costs more than reported

I live in a townhouse and the condo association pays for outside water on the grounds and a sewerage fee, all part of our dues to the association. My average total bill to the BTMUA is over $120 per quarter, winter or summer. That’s about $47.77 for water and $78.63 for sewer services.

I love the statement that "40 percent of (BTMUA) customers, mostly senior citizens, pay an average of $150 or less per year (‘BTMUA planning on rate increases for 2004,’ Dec. 24)." Looks like we are paying 80 percent more to get rid of their water than they are charging us for its consumption. And I would like to speak to one of those $150-a-year senior citizens.
