The Allentown High School girls field hockey team had another banner season, and nobody contributed more to their success than junior Lindsey Leck.

The talented junior forward set a school record with 37 goals as the Redbirds won their first Central Jersey Group II title since 1997, and advanced all the way to the Group II championship game.

Leck also recorded 20 assists in a season where the Redbirds lost just once prior to the Group II final.

For her efforts, Leck received a spot on The Associated Press’s First Team All-State squad, the only local player to receive that honor.
