PLAINSBORO The township applied for and recently received a $33,000 grant to build a sidewalk along Wyndhurst Drive to improve access to Town Center Elementary School at Plainsboro, which opened in 2002.
The grant was awarded from the state Department of Transportation’s Safe Streets to School Program. This year’s solicitation resulted in 252 applications statewide totaling more than $42 million for the $6 million available from the Transportation Trust Fund. Plainsboro was one of only 45 applications that received funding.
The Township is planning to construct the sidewalk during the summer of 2004.
