Council fills board, committee vacancies

Thirty-five vacancies filled at first regular meeting

   Township Council filled 35 vacancies on 15 advisory boards and committees at its first regular meeting Tuesday night.
   At the Affordable Housing Board, Nancy Becker of Province Line Road and Kathlein McAchen of Maple Leaf Drive were appointed to three-year terms on the panel. The terms expire December 2006.
   Brett Smith of Lawrence Road was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the Cable Telecommunications Advisory Committee that ends in December 2004.
   Norman Midthassel of Manitee Avenue was named to a four-year term on the Construction Board of Appeals. His term ends in December 2007.
   Joseph Cermele of Drexel Avenue was appointed to a five-year term on the Ewing Lawrence Sewage Authority. The term expires in January 2009.
   At the Environmental Resources Committee, Michael Azzara of Fairview Terrace, William Mitchell of Bennington Drive, Ian Rozdilsky of Faculty Road in Princeton Township and Angelo Stio III of Stonicker Drive were appointed to four-year terms, ending in December 2007.
   Brian Hammer of Shirley Lane and Philip McIndoo of Mark Cermele Court were named to fill two unexpired terms, ending in December 2005.
   Named to three-year terms on the Greenway Committee were Elaine Mills, who lists her address as Box 6834, Lawrenceville, and David Mizenko of Village Court. Their terms end in December 2006.
   At the Growth and Redevelopment Committee, Elizabeth Donahue of Balsam Court and Marcy Kleiner of Drexel Avenue were appointed to three-year terms, ending in December 2006.
   August Banknieder of Andrew Drive and Leo Brummel of Lawrencia Drive were appointed to three-year terms on the Health Advisory Committee, ending in December 2006.
   At the Human Relations Committee, Eva Eslami of Princeton Pike was named to a three-year term. Her son, Darius Eslami, was named to a three-year term as the student representative on the board. The two terms end in December 2006.
   Kathy Conley of CampFire U.S.A. in Trenton and Bernadette Gur of Nathan Hale Avenue were named to two-year terms on the Municipal Alliance on Drug and Alcohol Abuse. The terms end in December 2005.
   Joyce Copleman of Titus Avenue and Paul Larson of Darrah Lane were appointed to three-year terms on the Open Space Advisory Committee. Their terms expire in December 2006.
   Brian Ciuffreda of Rydal Drive, William Holmes of Altamawr Avenue, and Paul Palombi of Graf Avenue were named to serve two-year terms on the Public Safety Advisory Committee. Their terms end in December 2005.
   At the Recreation Advisory Committee, Albert Pitman of Craven Lane, Mari Price of Smithfield Avenue, and Marie Tagliaferri of Featherbed Court were named to three-year terms, expiring in December 2006.
   Bernadette Gur of Nathan Hale Avenue was appointed to a three-year term on the Route 1 Redevelopment Committee. The term expires in December 2006.
   Rose Marie Crofts of Hughes Avenue, Theodore Hendricks of Drift Avenue and Joan Rowland of Pine Knoll Drive were named to the Senior Executive Committee. Their four-year terms end in December 2007.
   And Carmine DiSanzo of Wexford Drive, Alvin Geser of Glenn Avenue and Doris Weisberg of West Long Drive were appointed to three-year terms on the Shade Tree Advisory Committee, ending in December 2006. Ms. Weisberg completed a four-year term on Township Council in December 2003.
