Planning, zoning boards to recognize next week

Duran to be sworn in as regular member, Waters as an alternate member

   Newly appointed members to the Planning Board and the Zoning Board of Adjustment are expected to be sworn into office when those boards hold their annual reorganization meetings next week.
   Philip Duran will be sworn in for a four-year term as a regular member and Dennis Waters will be sworn in for a two-year term as an alternate member when the Planning Board meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room at the Municipal Building.
   Mr. Duran lives on Keefe Road. His term will expire in December 2007. Mr. Waters lives on Ivy Glen Lane. His term will end in December 2005. They were appointed by Township Council Tuesday night.
   At the Zoning Board of Adjustment, which meets Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Lower Level Conference Room at the Municipal Building, four new members will be sworn into office.
   Stephen Brame of Princeton Pike and Robert Kulak of Brunswick Avenue were named to four-year terms as regular members. Their terms expire in December 2007.
   Richard Taylor of Glenn Avenue was appointed to fill an unexpired term as alternate member No. 1, ending in December 2004. Peter Rand of Lawrencia Drive was appointed to a two-year term as alternate member No. 2 for a term ending in December 2005.
   The two boards plan to elect their respective chairmen and vice chairmen, and also to appoint their respective attorneys, engineers, recording secretaries, board secretaries and planning consultants. The Planning Board also expects to appoint a traffic consultant.
