Estalyn Vernell (Sizemore) Bardenhagen, 85, of Kendall Park, died Monday, Jan. 5, at the Veterans Administration Hospital, East Orange.
She was born in Burnsville, W.Va. She retired after many years of service as a registered nurse with Middlesex Hospital in New Brunswick. She was a World War II Army veteran.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Bardenhagen of Kendall Park and Christine Bardenhagen; two sons, Christopher Bardenhagen Jr. of Kendall Park and Stephen Bardenhagen; a sister, Zena Sizemore of New Castle, Del.; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Emily and Timothy Bardenhagen; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 14, at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction. Burial was in St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
