John Folland

   John Alfred Folland, 84, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
   Born in Norway, he resided in Griggstown for 24 years before moving to Kendall Park 18 years ago. Mr. Folland was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church, the Sons of Norway-Faerder Lodge 109, and the 99th Infantry Battalion Auxiliary.
   He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Johanne Brastad Folland; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Thomas Spencer III of Princeton; a brother, Olav Folland of Holiday, Fla.; a sister, Margot Konghaug of Norway; two grandsons, Thomas Spencer IV and John Spencer; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 12, at Christ The King Lutheran Church, 3330 Route 27, Kendall Park. Burial followed at Griggstown Cemetery, Griggstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ The King Lutheran Church, 3330 Route 27, Kendall Park, N.J. 08824.
