BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP
Three people were injured in a one-vehicle collision at 9:36 p.m. Jan. 15. Police are investigating the collision and say it may have involved high speed and icy road conditions.
According to police, Audry Kitching, 18, of Collingswood, was traveling south on Williamsburg Drive when she lost control of her 1990 Ford Tempo near the intersection of Montpelier Lane. The car skidded across the road in a counter-clockwise direction and struck the north-side curb of Roanoke Court.
The passenger side of the car struck a tree. The car spun again and came to rest on the other side of that tree.
Police said Ms. Kitching was traveling with two passengers. Quinn R. Griffin, 18, of Collingswood, was in the front passenger seat and was trapped inside the car after the collision.
Ms. Kitching and the rear passenger, Andre Vajdicx, 21, of Bordentown, ran to a nearby residence to call police.
Rescue units from Bordentown and Chesterfield townships extricated Ms. Griffin and all three victims were taken to Capital Health Systems Fuld Campus in Trenton.
Ms. Kitching sustained a head laceration and knee abrasions. Mr. Vajdics suffered cuts to his hands. Both were treated and released, police said.
Ms. Griffin was listed in serious condition with numerous head and facial fractures, police said. She remains in medical care, police said.
No charges have been filed. The Bordentown Township Collision Investigation Unit and Detective Bureau are investigating the collision. Speed and icy road conditions may have been factors in the accident, police said.
