Gregory Rubert, West Long Branch, has joined Amper, Politziner & Mattia, certified public accountants, Wall, as staff accountant.

Visiting Physicians Services, Eatontown, announced that Kathleen Shea has joined the practice as a physician assistant in Union and Middlesex counties, and Dr. Yevgeniy Vaysberg has joined as house call physician in Middlesex, Somerset and Monmouth counties. Visiting Physicians is a physician-based organization providing house call services to homebound and elderly patients.

Diana Obser, a staff member at Broad Waverly Staffing, Red Bank, recently received the certified temporary staffing specialist (CTS) designation from the National Association of Personnel Services. CTS is recognized worldwide by the personnel services and staffing industry.

A resident of Ocean County, Obser joins 2,600 certified temporary staffing specialists nationwide. Recipients must take the CTS exam, which is reviewed and updated as necessary to reflect current federal employment law.

The Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders recently met in Freehold Borough to reorganize the county government for 2004. The Honorable Lawrence M. Lawson, assignment judge of the Superior Court, administered the oath of office to the recently reelected.

Freeholder Theodore J. Narozanick. County Clerk Claire French assisted in the ceremony, and presented Narozanick with a framed copy of the official election certification. The freeholders once again selected Freeholder Harry Larrison Jr., of Ocean Grove, to serve as director and presiding officer. Freeholder Thomas J. Powers, Wall Township, will serve as deputy director for 2004.

Reappointed insurance consultant for the county for a one-year term was Red Bank resident Robert E. Winant. Reappointed assistant county counsels for one-year terms were John R. Madden and Gil D. Messina, both of Red Bank. Carmela Pasqua, Rumson, was reappointed to the advisory council to the Office on Aging for a three-year term.

Reappointed to the Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services for a three-year term was Gilmon D. Brooks, Tinton Falls. Red Bank resident Channing P. Irwin was reappointed to serve a five-year term on the Board of Recreation Commissioners. Joseph R. Foster, Oceanport, was reappointed as an alternate to the county transportation council for a one-year term. Little Silver resident Alfred Peskoe was reappointed as a citizen member of the water resources association for a three-year term.

CPC Behavioral Healthcare, Middletown, recently earned the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) following compliance with the commission’s standards for health care quality and safety. CPC scored 95 out of 100 in the JCAHO survey, according to a press release.

The nonprofit commission evaluates and accredits more than 16,000 health care organizations and programs nationwide, and accreditation is recognized nationally as a reflection of an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.
