Christina M. Guzzo of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list for the summer quarter at Northeastern University, Boston.

Mary Carnesale, Colts Neck, and Rohit Nagpal, Freehold, seniors at the Ranney School, Tinton Falls, were recently named Edward J. Bloustein Distinguished Scholars for 2003-04. The students were selected from approximately 5,000 of the highest achieving students in New Jersey to receive scholarships for the coming academic year. Students qualifying for the award must place in the top 10 percent of the class and have a minimum SAT score of 1260, or be ranked first, second or third in the class as of the end of the junior year.

Bryan A. Glanzberg, son of Eli and Marcia Glanzberg of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list at Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind., where he attends the Kelly School of Business. He is a 2002 graduate of Manalapan High School.

Karen Stich of Freehold has been in­ducted into Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology, and received a Dean’s Scholar Award. She attends Georgian Court College, Lakewood.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College has awarded merit scholarships to the follow­ing local students: Laura R. Beckenstein, of Freehold, and Victoria M. Edgerton, of Howell. Both are first-year students who plan to major in elementary education.

Crystal Kaldy of Howell has been in­ducted into Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology. She is a student at Georgian Court College, Lakewood.

Nicole L. Libretti, daughter of Michael and Theresa Libretti of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Johnson and Wales University, Provi-dence, R.I.

Linnea G. Morales, daughter of Gloria Morales of Freehold Township, has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Emerson College, Boston.

Vanessa F. Giancola, daughter of Edmund and Fran Giancola of Manalapan, received a bachelor of science degree in sociology and communications during the winter commencement cere­mony at Florida State University, Tallahassee. She also was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester. She is a 2000 graduate of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel.

Erin Brogan, daughter of Michael and Ellen Brogan of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Ind. She is a 2003 graduate of Manalapan High School.

Rachel L. Weiner, daughter of Alan B. and Bonnie Weiner of Marlboro, has completed a White House internship for the fall session. A 2001 graduate of Marlboro High School, she attends the School of Public Affairs at The American University, Washington, D.C.

Keren I. Zarom of Marlboro has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Delaware, Newark, De.. She is a 2000 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Hayley M. Derris, daughter of Sandy and Randye Derris of Marlboro, has ac­cepted membership in the Golden Key International Honor Society and was honored during a ceremony held recently at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Melissa E. Rothschild, daughter of Arthur and Jill Rothschild of Marlboro, has graduated from the Hofstra University School of Communication, Hempstead, N.Y., with a bachelor of arts degree. She is pursuing a career in broad­cast journalism.

Jared Schoen, son of Benjamin and Marlene Schoen of Englishtown, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall quar­ter at the Savannah (Ga.) College of Art and Design.
