Diane Turton, president and broker/owner of Diane Turton Realtors, has been chosen by the American Red Cross Jersey Coast Chapter to be its corporate honoree for 2005.

Turton will receive the Clara Barton Humanitarian Award at the American Red Cross’ 2005 Charity Ball, to be held March 19 at the Robert B. Meyner Reception Center at the PNC Bank Arts Center, Holmdel.

The award, named after the founder of the American Red Cross, recognizes individuals whose lives exemplify the American Red Cross principles of humanitarianism, impartiality and volunteerism. Jane Milmore and Billy Van Zandt, of Van Zandt and Milmore Productions, who have written and produced more than 300 hours of comedy for network television, will also be recognized as the American Red Cross’ Community Honorees.

Working in the residential real estate industry in New Jersey and south Florida, Turton actively participates in a wide range of community activities and supports many deserving causes, charities, fund-raisers and drives. Her efforts have earned her numerous awards, including the 2004 Humanitarian of the Year Award from the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the 2004 Athena Award presented by the Western Monmouth Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she was named one of the Garden State’s Women of Influence for 2004, an honor presented by NJBiz Magazine. Additionally, in April Ms. Turton and her husband, Bruce, will be presented with the Distinguished Citizens Award by the Boy Scouts Jersey Shore Council.

Coldwell Banker Riviera Realty, Brick, has moved its real estate operation to temporary office space at 550 Brick Blvd. From their new location, Coldwell Banker Riviera sales associates will continue to serve the Ocean and Monmouth County markets.

Elliott Caplin will continue as the company’s office manager. This temporary facility, located in the shopping center behind the previous location, will serve as the agency’s home while a new office building is constructed behind the new Taco Bell restaurant, which is also located on Brick Boulevard. All of the services provided by the full service agency will continue during its stay in its temporary location.

Next Step Productions, of Brick, will host an “Engagement Celebration Bridal Fair” Jan. 28 at the Vanity Fare banquet facility in Lakewood. The event will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. The concept is a preregistered event designed to entertain and inform engaged couples who are planning their upcoming weddings. Invited couples will attend an actual semi-formal reception with complete dinner, cash bar and entertainment. Traditional bridal services, such as DJ, videographer, photographer, floral arrangements, etc., will be provided by a select group of vendors. Charisma Salon will donate 20 percent of all profits to the Louise Stewart Scholarship Fund during the week of Feb. 22. An educator in the classroom as well at the salon for 25 years, Stewart lost her battle with ovarian cancer in 2002. The scholarship fund was established by her family to provide assistance to students at East Brunswick Vo-Tech. Charisma Salon is on Route 9 south in Marlboro.
