Valentine’s Day is coming and Millstone Valley Chorus quartets are busy preparing to deliver Singing Valentines on Feb. 12, 13 and 14. Deliveries are made in person to people at work, at home, in restaurants, or most anywhere a sender wishes.
A Singing Valentine consists of a quartet singing two songs in four-part harmony, a card containing a personal message, a chocolate treat, a silk rose and a Polaroid photo of the event. Cost of the package is $50.
Millstone Valley Chorus is a nonprofit organization of women singing four-part harmony a cappella, often at community functions. Members live throughout Central New Jersey and in eastern Pennsylvania.
Singing Valentines are a favorite activity of chorus members as they look forward to the smiles, giggles or tears of surprised recipients.
Future chorus plans include participation in a regional competition in Philadelphia and presenting a spring show.
The chorus rehearses Monday evenings at Trinity Church on Mercer Street in Princeton, where visitors and prospective members are always welcome.
