ENGINEERING
   Lawrenceville resident Gregory A. Kelly has been named metro district manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade & Douglas Inc., the U.S. infrastructure arm of Parsons Brinckerhoff. He replaces the retiring Michael Francese.
   In his new position, Mr. Kelly will be responsible for managing PB’s operations in New York and New Jersey, supervising a staff of 500 professionals in four offices. Some of the firm’s projects in the region include the No. 7 line subway extension, the Access to the Region’s Core transportation study, the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Transit System and the extension of the Long Island Rail Road to Grand Central Terminal.
   Mr. Kelly has worked in both the private and public sectors, planning, designing and constructing projects involving rail, roads, bridges, tunnels and multimodal facilities. He was previously PB’s area manager in New York City and before that was the firm’s area manager for northern New Jersey.
   Founded in 1885, Parsons Brinckerhoff provides program management planning, engineering and construction management services internationally.
PRINTING & PUBLISHING
   Allentown resident Christine Girandola has been named Account Executive of the Month for February by the New Jersey Press Association. Major accounts manager for The Princeton Packet, Ms. Girandola was recognized for her dedication to her sales responsibilities and the newspaper industry in general.
   Ms. Girandola began her career in newspaper advertising sales at The Princeton Packet and a year later joined The Times of Trenton, where she developed specialty magazines for Bucks County and Princeton and substantially increased new business in outer market areas. She returned to The Princeton Packet as an account executive in a struggling territory, where she rejuvenated sales. She was soon thereafter promoted to major accounts manager.
LAW
   Paul P. Josephson, who has served as senior legal adviser to Gov. James McGreevey for the past eight years, has joined the firm of Hill Wallack as partner in charge of its regulatory and government affairs practice group.
   Mr. Josephson, 38, currently serves as assistant attorney general and director of the Division of Law within the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety. Prior to joining the McGreevey administration he was a partner at a Newark-based firm, where he focused on civil litigation and administrative law.
   Mr. Josephson’s decision to join Hill Wallack is based on his desire to devote more time to his family. He currently resides in Interlaken with his wife Jodi and son Ethan.
   Hill Wallack is one of the largest law firms in central New Jersey, and over the past 25 years has earned a reputation for comprehensive problem solving. The firm announced its intention to relocate its headquarters to Trenton this October.

   Stevens & Lee announced they have opened a Princeton branch on College Road East in Plainsboro. Sixteen lawyers, formerly with Smith, Stratton, Wise, Heher & Brennan, have joined the firm to establish the new location serving businesses and individuals throughout the state.
   Nine former Smith-Stratton partners will be joining Stevens & Lee: Miyuki Kaneko, Suzanne M. McSorely, Bradley L. Mitchell, Marsha E. Novick, Richard J. Pinto, Ann Reichelderfer, Brian P. Sullivan, Christopher S. Tarr and Megan E. Thomas. The addition of this group will allow the firm to extend its antitrust litigation, capital markets and healthcare practices into the fast growing Princeton/central New Jersey markets.
   Also joining the firm as associates are Nanette M. Embres, Laurajane B. Kastner, Priscilla Maye Kugel and Christine Beyer Savoca.
   Robert D. Frawley, John R. Heher and Robert C. Johnston will join the firm as Of Counsel.
   Stevens & Lee maintains New Jersey offices in Cherry Hill as well as Princeton, with several offices throughout Pennsylvania.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
   The Princeton office of Amper, Politziner & Mattia, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, have announced the following:
   David McDermott has been promoted to supervisor in the audit and accounting department. With the firm since 1996, his specialty is representing tax-exempt organizations. A resident of Lawrenceville, Mr. McDermott is an active board member of the Montgomery Center for the Arts.
   Joseph G. Grillo has joined the firm as a manager in the tax department. With more than 20 years of experience in tax compliance, he will be responsible for review of tax returns, tax research, planning techniques as well as representation of clients at tax examinations.
   Patrick Roland has joined as a manager in the audit and accounting department.
   Mr. Ronald has more than 10 years of experience providing accounting and consulting services to clients in the manufacturing, distribution and service industries.

   Klatzkin & Company, certified public accountants and consultants, announce the three owners/officers at Groendyke Associates are joining the firm as they merge their practice, effective immediately.
   John W. Lutz has practiced both public and private accounting since 1971. Specializing in providing services to the agriculture industry, nonprofits and individuals, he has experience in conversion of manual accounting systems to interactive automated systems. Mr. Lutz is certified in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New Jersey Society of CPAs. He is a past president and director of the Mercer Chapter of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and a member of the Mercer County Estate Planning Council.
   Bruce S. Ludlow has been in public accounting since 1974. His areas of specialization include small business taxes and financial statements, nonprofits/single audits and homeowner associations.
   Certified in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs. He served as a director and treasurer of the Mercer Chapter of the New Jersey Society of CPAs.
   Jeanmarie F. Moore has been in the field of public accounting for more than 20 years. She specializes in providing accounting, auditing and tax services in the areas of elder care, estates and trusts. She is also a licensed Public School Accountant able to provide financial accounting and auditing services to school districts. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, and the New Jersey Society of CPAs where she currently serves on several committees. Ms. Moore is also a member of the 1996 "Who’s Who in American Business."
   Klatzkin & Company was founded in 1930 and has grown into one of the largest CPA firms in Mercer and Burlington counties and Lower Bucks County. Their offices are located in Hamilton and Langhorne, Pa.

   New York Life Insurance Company announced that Bruce D. Schobel has been promoted to vice president and actuary in the tax department. He began his career with New York Life in 1990 as an actuary and was promoted to corporate vice president in 1992. He resides in Princeton Junction with his wife and their four children.

   Phyllis L. Marchand, Mayor of the Township of Princeton, has issued an official proclamation recognizing the value of wealth management firm U.S. Trust to the Princeton community. U.S. Trust, in its 150th year, has had an office in the Princeton area for 12 years.
   In her recognition, Mayor Marchand stated, "The links between U.S. Trust and the Princeton community are historic and of great pride to its employees." One of the founders of the firm, John Aikman Stewart, was among the longest serving trustees of Princeton University and served as its acting president for several years. His dedication to the community paved the way for many of U.S. Trust’s current employees who serve on boards of such local organizations as the Princeton Healthcare System Foundation, The Princeton Historical Society, The Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, Trinity Counseling Service, McCarter Theatre, the Stony Brook Millstone Watershed, the YMCA, YWCA, the Princeton Library, the Princeton University Art Museum, Morven, The Princeton Area Community Foundation and the Drumthwacket Foundation.

   The employees of Princeton Insurance Company recently completed a drive to aid Angel’s Wings Inc., the Trenton-based nonprofit volunteer organization that provides care to children birth through age 12 who have been abused or neglected. Princeton’s Employee Activities Committee organized and administered the drive that included donations of diapers, baby wipes, clothing, backpacks, art supplies as well as other items requested by the charity.
   Many of the children that come to Angel’s Wings arrive with only the clothing on their backs. They receive an "outfit bag" containing at least three pairs of socks, three pairs of underwear, two pairs of pajamas, two pairs of shoes and five outfits. The children are also given coats, winter accessories, swimsuits, school uniforms, backpacks, hygiene products and toiletries as needed. Angel’s Wings also provides each child with books, toys and stuffed animals.
TRANSPORTATION
   Ford Motor Co.’s Salute to Dealers program received 71 nominations for exceptional dealers representing 32 states. Being nominated is a tribute to the dealers’ dedication to improving the lives of those in their communities.
   This year’s local nominations include David Long of Volvo of Princeton/ Edison/ Bridgewater/ Plainfield located in Lawrenceville. Mr. Long spends two days a week as chairman of the board of Princeton Health Care System, which has undertaken a $100 million fund-raising campaign. He sponsors more than 20 charity golf outings a year, supports local school districts and has raised more than $250,000 by raffling a new Volvo each of the last three years.
EDUCATION
   Sydell Carlton, educator and assessment expert at ETS, has been elected president of the International Association for Educational Assessment. Founded in 1975, the IAEA is a not-for-profit, non-government organization of UNESCO that works with measurement agencies around the world. Its broad purpose is to assist educational agencies in the development and appropriate application of educational assessment techniques to improve the quality of education.
   The first president of the IAEA was William Turnbull, ETS’s president from 1970 to 1981. Ms. Carlton is not only the second person from ETS to assume the presidency, she is the first from the United States since Turnbull, and also the association’s first female president.
