Feb. 11, 8:45 p.m.: Kerry on the block

The toughest part of the road is still ahead for John Kerry.

   Marie Cocco offers this warning to Democrats who think that avoiding a bloody nomination fight will help in the long run.
   She makes the point that Al Gore was in place by the end of January, giving the Republicans a lot of time to take potshots at the candidate.
   And, there are some good pieces in The Nation, though not in the on-line version worth checking out on the same issue.
